RF Drive Test Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Configure drive test data collection equipment based on RF engineering parameters
• Conduct data collection for clients on 5G-NR, 4G-LTE, and LTE/3G networks
• Calibrate, verify and conduct live drive testing of E-911 service
• Map sites and drive test routes using Google Earth and geo tracker
• Carry out cluster drives, re-drive tests, stationary tests, and speed tests
• Perform Acceptance Test Performance (ATP) drive tests, monitor handovers, conduct speed tests for base stations and customer locations, and record test results.
• Check sector swaps on new sites on air or existing sites, checking for poor coverage and cell interference.
• Check for overshooting sectors and suggest mechanical or electrical down-tilt if needed
• Maintain and troubleshoot XCAL, TEMS, scanners, devices, and document test results
• Upload all collected data daily and process XCAL files in XCAP.
• Perform additional testing procedures as required by the project.

Responsibilities:

Create RF designs and audit existing RF deployments to maximize coverage and performance. Design, update and validate RF Data Sheets (RFDS) and CIQ for different design configurations. Optimize the end-to-end RF design, propagation modeling and prediction, for deployment of 4G/5G Cell deployment. Determine equipment and power configurations. Work with eNB/RAN and UE teams on RF solutions including modifications to RF link budgets on a per site level basis to meet operations requirements. Analyzing network metrics, analyzing drive tests to evaluate search area candidate as necessary along with frequency management, interference analysis & propagation analysis. Working with the performance team to understand the area and any issues within the cluster, researching previous projects and in-flight projects, creating short-term and long-term designs to meet sites design criteria.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or any related technical discipline. A graduate degree or MBA would be desirable. A Minimum of 10 years of similar sales leadership experience is required. Experience/ Background with major mobile network operators or service providers is a must. Experience selling 4G and 5G technology services. Preferably with experience dealing with or selling to targeted markets. Demonstrated success in opening new business, as well as negotiating contracts and closing deals. An existing network of industry contacts in relevant industries would be strongly desired. Strong strategic and business development skills; candidates must have a strong track record of developing and executing market entry/penetration strategies. Global perspective and awareness, and direct experience working in an intercultural environment and/or across diverse cultures would be beneficial.
